Annapolis, MD – August 19, 2025 – Hyatt Commercial has brokered the off-market sale of 2661 Riva Road, Building 800. The property is a 9,300-square-foot, three-story office building in Annapolis, Maryland.
Laurie Zuiderhof and Treva Ghattas of Hyatt Commercial represented the buyer, the Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County (TAAAC), while Justin Mullen and John Gallagher of Hyatt Commercial represented the seller, Defense Street LLC.
The property’s location—directly across from the Anne Arundel County Board of Education—made it a strategic acquisition for the buyer. As a result, TAAAC plans to occupy the building once the current lease ends.
“This off-market sale represents the continued appetite for owner-user sales in Annapolis. Prior to going to market we were able to generate multiple offers from users looking to expand their presence in the market. We’re thrilled for our Seller who was able to dispose of the asset after many quality years of ownership,” said John Gallagher, Executive Vice President at Hyatt Commercial.
“Hyatt Commercial’s deep knowledge of the local market and responsiveness made all the difference in this transaction. Within a very short timeframe, their team identified a property that fits our long-term needs as well as allows us to remain close to the Board of Education and in the political center of the county,” said Kristina Korona, President, Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County.
