EDGEWATER, MD – March 28, 2025 – Timber Pizza Company is bringing its signature wood-fired pizzas and community spirit to Edgewater, MD. The new location will open at Market at South River Colony. Hyatt Commercial facilitated the lease as the center’s exclusive representative, supporting Timber’s seamless expansion.
Timber Pizza was founded in 2014 by Chris Brady and Andrew Dana. It began as a passion project in a 1967 Chevy pickup truck with a mobile pizza oven. Shortly after, they partnered with Chef Dani Moreira, a Culinary Institute of America graduate. Together, they opened their first brick-and-mortar location in Petworth, Washington, D.C. in 2016. Since then, Timber Pizza has become a staple across the DMV. The brand is known for its handcrafted pies, bold flavors, and commitment to high-quality ingredients.
This Edgewater location marks Timber Pizza’s second Maryland outpost, following its success in Annapolis. The 2,100-square-foot space at Market at South River Colony will further enhance the shopping center’s dynamic offerings, serving up Timber’s signature pizzas and warm hospitality to the Edgewater and Mayo Peninsula communities.
“Timber Pizza’s expansion into Edgewater is an exciting addition to Market at South River Colony,” said George Shenas, Vice President at Hyatt Commercial. “Their reputation for high-quality food and strong community engagement makes them a perfect fit for this thriving retail center.”
“We couldn’t be more excited to join the Edgewater community and bring Timber Pizza to this fantastic location,” said Chris Brady, Co-Founder of Timber Pizza Company. “We’re incredibly grateful for the support from Hyatt Commercial in making this happen, and we can’t wait to share our love of pizza with new friends and neighbors.”
Timber Pizza has built a devoted following across the region, with locations at farmers’ markets, airports, and beyond. As the brand continues to grow, its mission remains the same: to serve amazing experiences—and plenty of pepperoni—to all members of the Timber Fam.
