Kent Island, MD – March 5, 2024 – Grocery Outlet Holding Corp. has been selected as the anchor store at the brand-new development, KIC Shopping Center in Kent Island, MD. This transaction was made possible by William Steffey, Senior VP at Hyatt Commercial.

Founded in 1946 by Jim Read, Grocery Outlet has over 400 stores nationwide serving over 1.5 million shoppers weekly. With dedicated buyers ensuring a wide array of products, including fresh produce and organic items, at competitive prices, Grocery Outlet has solidified its position as the country’s leading extreme value retailer.

Developed by The Reliable Group (TRG), KIC Shopping Center, set to open in mid-2025, consists of 16,000 square feet of in-line retail space, three restaurant sites (including one with a drive-thru), and a 3-story independent living building. Now, the center is attracting restaurant and retail tenants in available space, serving as an additional amenity for the Kent Island Community, enhancing the shopping and dining experience for residents and visitors.
