Meet The Folks Behind Hyatt Commercial

Louis Hyatt

President and Founder

Since starting his real estate career in 1953, Louis Hyatt has been one of the most active businessmen throughout Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. Forming his own brokerage firm in 1961, Louis has guided Hyatt Commercial into a full-service firm, providing commercial sales and leasing, property management, and investor services. He has also undertaken active roles in the banking, civic, and real estate communities.

With extensive experience in brokerage, banking, investments, and syndication, Louis has been involved in many prominent commercial and residential projects throughout the region. He has organized and participated in numerous award-winning joint ventures and limited partnerships.

His community and civic involvement includes two terms on the Annapolis City Council and membership of the Annapolis Planning and Zoning Commission. He was elected to the Democratic Central Committee, Annapolis, and was elected Realtor of the Year for Anne Arundel County by the Anne Arundel County Board of REALTORS. He served as President of this Board as well. 

A retired Director of (the former) Farmers Bank of Maryland, Louis also served on the the National Advisory Council of the Small Business Administration, as Vice-Chairman and Commissioner of the Maryland Real Estate Commission, and was the President of the Anne Arundel County Board of REALTORS in '73. He is also a recent member of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Finance Committee.

Louis's professional associations include lifetime membership to the National Association of REALTORS, Anne Arundel County Board of REALTORS, and the Anne Arundel Commercial and Investment Agents.

A native Annapolitan, Louis was honored by being named one of the people most positively affecting Annapolis, which is where he continues to reside today.

Bill Greenfield

Senior VP and Sales/Leasing Manager

S.W. "Bill" Greenfield is a native Annapolitan who has spent his entire life and career in Annapolis, Maryland. Bill attended Anne Arundel Community College and the University of Maryland from 1970 to 1974 before returning to Annapolis, in 1974, to operate his family's two retail clothing stores which ultimately closed in 1990, after 53 years in business.

That same year he obtained his real estate license and hung it with Hyatt Real Estate, which eventually became Hyatt Commercial. With the exception of a 2 year absence, he has been license with Hyatt Commercial for 19 1/2 years.

Bill specializes in the sales and leasing of office, retail, and industrial properties for users and investors. He also has a real estate consulting business. Bill is now the Senior Vice President and Director of Sales and Leasing for Hyatt Commercial.

Currently, Bill lives in Annapolis with his wife, Debbie (who is a residential agent) and his two children Amanda and Aaron.

Steven Hyatt

Sales/Leasing Agent

A third generation Annapolitan, Steven Hyatt has been a licensed commercial sales agent with Hyatt Commercial since 2007. He specializes in Sales and Leasing of commercial real estate in Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, and surrounding areas including - Retail, Restaurants, Shopping Centers, Office Buildings, Medical Buildings, Multi-Family Dwellings, Land, and Industrial/Flex space.

Steven is an alumnus of the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. While at Charleston, Steven was an active member in the Charleston Real Estate Club, a student founded and run organization, a member of the Charleston Club Lacrosse team, and actively involved in the Charleston community through his fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha.

Before graduating, Steven was an intern for Petrie Ross Ventures, LLC where he was exposed to the development of the Annapolis Towne Centre, the Woodmore Towne Centre at Glenarden, and the Redevelopment of City Place Mall in Silver Spring, MD. He also has a background in residential and commercial mortgages from spending a year with Severn Savings Bank as a Bank Relationship Officer.

Steven is actively involved in both local and regional business communities serving as a member of the Anne Arundel County Commercial and Industrial Association, Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is also a dynamic member of Next Gen of Anne Arundel County, and the Hospice of the Chesapeake.

Steven currently lives in Annapolis, where in his free time he enjoys skiing, fishing, Navy and Raven’s football, and traveling.

Todd Eckert

Sales/Leasing Agent

Todd Eckert specializes in the sale and leasing of commercial real estate.  In his years with Hyatt Commercial, Todd has been involved in the leasing, sales and marketing of office, retail, warehouse/flex and mixed-use space resulting in millions of dollars of generated revenue for owners of commercial properties.  His expertise in both landlord and tenant perspectives has made him remarkably effective in determining and fulfilling client’s parameters.  Todd is also expert in end-user sales with creative and insightful approaches for locating properties for clients looking to own the properties where their business is to be located.  His in-depth knowledge of properties throughout the Baltimore-Washington corridor puts his clients at an advantage when dealing with commercial properties.

Based out of Annapolis, Todd deals with local, regional and national clients.

Jesse Kellner

Associate Broker and Sales/Leasing Agent

Jesse Kellner has been a part of Hyatt Commercial's brokerage team since January 2006. In his time with the firm, he has served a wide range of clients, working with Sellers/Landlords and Buyers/Tenants alike. He has completed transactions for developable land, office buildings/condominiums, and apartment complexes, specializing in recreational and working marinas up and down the Bay. His list of completed leases includes everything from large blocks of Class A space for booming tech contractors to placing local retailers and restaurants to everything in-between. As a lifelong Anne Arundel County Resident, he has secured his Maryland Associate Broker's license, served on the Citizen's Advisory Committee to Annapolis' most recent Comprehensive Plan, and is an active member of AACIA, a local trade association. Mr. Kellner received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Washington Bible College in Lanham, MD. He and his wife Lindsey call Crofton, MD home.

John Sindler

Sales/Leasing Agent

Mr. Sindler, has been in Commercial Real Estate since 1995, following a decade in general construction, doing predominantly municipal contracts. His development knowledge uses a foundation in Industrial Tenant Representation assignments gained while with Colliers Pinkard (Columbia). He mastered the Baltimore-Washington Corridor Tenant base and land inventory as the firm’s land specialist. Overseeing McShea & Company, Inc.’s Columbia office for five years, Mr. Sindler did tenant representation assignments while leasing and managing a 700,000 square foot Office and Industrial portfolio (half of which sold in a 1031 Exchange and Investment acquisition).

As an active broker in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor, Mr. Sindler’s deals have been split between relet and development deals as Industrial, Office and Retails transactions, specifically along the Route 1 Corridor in Baltimore, Howard, and Prince George’s Counties. Serving two years on each the Route 1 Revitalization Committee (Steering Committee), the Board of Directors and (Co-Chair) Economic Development Committee of the Baltimore-Washington Corridor Chamber (BWCC), he has a strong knowledge of the tenants, landlords/property owners and development opportunities south of Baltimore to the District of Columbia.

Mr. Sindler’s client base ranges from small, locally-owned concerns to national /multi-location firms, institutional/pension funds and developers. With a tenant representation core business, other assignments include:

• User building sales & leasing

• Office/industrial/retail /land development

• Office/retail/industrial portfolio leasing, management, disposition and acquisition

A Loyola College graduate, his strong community ties keep him involved with development committees, volunteering and coaching a Howard County Youth Program, as a Rugby coach for Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore.

Harriet Lytle

Sales/Leasing Agent

Harriet A Lytle has returned to Annapolis and rejoined Hyatt Commercial.  She first became a licensed Commercial Sales and Leasing agent in 1994.  She was with Hyatt Commercial before her “retirement” to Park City, UT, in 2005, to be near family and to enjoy year round mountain activities.  Harriet specializes in Sales and Leasing of office, retail and industrial properties in the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County area.

Harriet has a B. S. Degree from Kent State University and has completed several classes toward her CCIM professional designation.   Prior to Commercial Real Estate she worked in research and for IBM in Gaithersburg, MD, in System Test and Quality Assurance until 1994.  She also enjoys sailing on the Chesapeake Bay and is happy to be back living in Annapolis.
